Jackie Palmer Stage School Rules
Here at Jackie Palmer Stage School we aim to give a thorough training that assists children for the Performing Arts Industry as well as improving their confidence, communication skills and general discipline in an enjoyable environment. Please see below a list of rules and guidelines we expect all our students to follow.
- In order to keep the level of uniform and appearance within the school of a high standard, children who do not come correctly attired will not be taught. Therefore correct uniform must be worn at all times
- Girls with long hair must have it up in a bun and slicked back neatly and firmly. Girls with short hair should wear a fine net and hair band to keep the hair back. Boys hair should also be neatly groomed and long hair must be tied back.
- In the interest of hygiene both Uniform and Shoes should be cleaned weekly.
- No jewellery or watches are to be worn (the school will not take any responsibility for valuables of any kind)
- Mobile phones are not allowed to be switched on during class.
- We expect children to be polite and well mannered at all times. Any unruly or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated
- At no point are friends, parents or relatives allowed to view the classes
- Please note that the whole St.Augustines site is non smoking this includes the car park
- No children are allowed on to the Play Equipment situated in the grounds of St.Augustines.
- Please take all litter home with you
- We do not consider it to be in the pupils’ best interest to belong to more than one stage school. However if you choose to do this we will insist on total commitment to us, giving us priority in respect of exams and school shows.
If Any Discipline Issues Arise:
-
The children will firstly be warned by their teachers,
- If the behaviour persists they will then be excluded from the class. (If this happens they will be under adult supervision away from the class)
- If by the following week the behaviour is still unacceptable the school principle will contact the child’s parents to discuss a way forward.
- As a last resort the child will be excluded from the school (On the rare occasion this happens the terms fees will not be refunded)
